Here is a countdown of the top 5 anti consumer websites. 4 of the 5 have strong connections to the National Funeral Directors Association the NFDA.

5 Todd Van Beck ICCFA Blog. It took a full blog post to explain why this post is anti consumer. Essentially this man refers to the Funeral Consumer as Archie and Edith Bunker.Currently Todd Van Beck appears has no direct ties to the NFDA. He is connected to another bad boy, The ICCFA. 4. IFDA.org. The Illinois Funeral Directors Association (IFDA) preneed ponzi scheme. This scheme spread to the National Funeral Directors Assocition in the person of Randal L Earl(current NFDA Treasurer). Initially 59 million is gone. The total now is over 100 million dollars. These Folks are sill in Business at http://www ifda.org . There ability to harm the Funeral Consumer is now regulated. Their website is horribly out of date.

3. Funeral Futurist.com “This site teaches funeral directors to raise consumer funeral cost through the use of Social Media,with an emphasis on facebook. There is original material here, but the goal is to show Funeral Directors new ways profit from death of working stiffs, funeral futurist. The Funeral Futurist Took Many Videos (and posted them) at the LAST NFDA CONVENTION

2. NFDA.ORG . The NFDA purports to be the funeral directors and the consumers friend. There first purpose though is to help funeral directors stay and grow in business. This in itself often hurts the funeral consumer

There Executive Treasurer who is slated to be the Next NFDA president Elect is deeply involved in the Illinois Funeral Directors Association Preneed Ponzi Scheme. This is a travesty of funeral director integrity.

Comments on behalf of the Funeral Consumer are discouraged. Articles by and about advertisers are continually posted, and the subject of videos. ConnectingDirectors.com is a strong supporter of the NFDA. The NFDA Press release is often featured at the site. From time to Time Connecting Directors.com has advertised at the NFDA website.

NFDA New President Down on Wal-Mart selling Caskets

The NFDA new president seems to have thrown cold water on Wal-Mart selling Caskets-this is according to an AP report last week. Just after being elected President of the National Funeral Directors Association, Pat Lynch made this statement about Wal-Mart selling Caskets.

Walmart selling caskets online has created an internet stir

Wal-Mart’s prices for caskets don’t differ greatly from those offered at funeral homes, most of which range from $500 to $5,000, Lynch said. He declined to give an average price, saying a casket selection is a personal one.

He said Wal-Mart can’t offer one thing funeral directors do have: the ability to comfort someone during a trying time.

“There’s no question in my mind as a funeral director for nearly 40 years that the most critical element is the human contact,” he said

NFDA lends some support to Bereaved Consumers Bill of Rights

At the convention in Boston Last week, the NFDA has declared support of the Bereaved Consumers Bill of Rights Act(AKA the Bereaved Consumers Bill of Rights Act or the Rush Bill). This is good for the Funeral Consumer.

The NFDA is keeping the facts from the public on Funeral Expenses

The Average cost of a funeral is Now $7,622.00 according to the National Funeral Directors Association. In 2008 released numbers on the average cost of a funeral in a press release. But not in 2009. This is another NFDA deception.

THEY ARE KEEPING FACTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON FUNERAL EXPENSES.

The National Funeral Directors Association has declared the Average Cost Of a Funeral to be $7,622.00 per year. The previous figure listed for average funeral cost at the NFDA website was $7,323.00 per year. This figure does not include cemetery costs but does include a casket and a vault. Most Industry experts put the average cost of a funeral in the United States at $10,000 in 2009.

Next week the National Funeral Directors Association NFDA will probably elect a Treasurer(Randall L Earl) who is a possible felon in the Illinois Funeral Directors Association Preneed Scandal. In order to put money in their coffin(coffers), they are adding allied members.

The NFDA Needs to support the correct legislation

The National Funeral Directors association is supporting the wrong Funeral Legislation,H.R. 3652

Instead the NFDA needs to support:HR3655.

The NFDA is supporting the wrong Legislation. Instead of supporting legislation that encourages the poor to spend money on expensive pre-need funerals, simple cemetery and funeral reform needs to be given proper attention.

National Funeral Directors is not coming out in support of Your Funeral Rights

The National Funeral Directors Association Has issued at Statement on the Bereaved Consumers Bill of Rights Act As predicted the NFDA is supportive of the cemetery part of the Legislation. the Facebook statement does not confirm or condemn the cemetery part of the legislation.

The NFDA Will oppose the Bereaved Consumer Bill of Rights Act That is the name of the New Legislation proposed and introduced in Congress On September 25 th 2009
